Luis Miguel

Luis Miguel is a Mexican singer. Luis Miguel sings Mariachi, Pop, Boleros, Jazz and ballads. Despite recording only in Spanish, Miguel was the best Latin artist in the 1990s, and popularized the bolero genre into the mainstream market. He sold 60 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling Latin music artists of all times.

Luis Miguel beginnings

Luis Miguel started his career in Mexico in the 80s and won his first Grammy at 14 years old, making the youngest Latin artist receiving this award. He was the first Latin artist to be awarded two platinum certified Spanish-language albums in the United States with Romance and Segundo Romance, the latter earning him 35 platinum records throughout Central and South America. Billboard recognized him as the artist with the most top 10 hits on the Billboard Latin chart. His recent album was released in 2017 and earned him his second No. 1 on the Billboard Mexican Albums and achieved double-platinum status.

Luis Miguel tours

Luis Miguel visited 22 countries in North America, South America and Europe, where he performed 223 shows during a 3 year span, making it the longest and highest-grossing tour ever made by a Latin artist. He also holds the record for the most consecutive presentations in the Auditorio Nacional with a total of 30 consecutive concerts.
