Randy Corinthian

For more than a decade, Randy Corinthian has been an integral and innovative part of the Music Industry. A native Floridian and a graduate of The Florida A&M University (FAMU), he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education and his Masters Degree with a focus in Jazz Studies and Commercial Music at one of the leading institutions of the World, Florida State University (FSU).

Learning to play the saxophone during his adolescent years, Randy Corinthian further cultivated his talents while attending Dillard School of the Arts, the premier breeding ground for many of Ft. Lauderdale’s most promising musicians. As stated by him: “High school is where my interest in music took direction and my love for music grew tremendously”.

From his formative years as musician and bandleader to his present recording artist status, multi-instrumentalist and music producer, Randy Corinthian is identified by his charismatic and scintillating personality and musical style. Appreciated as both musician and performer, he always had the duel personae of master improviser and vibrant entertainer. He has always brought his music to a level of style and sophistication that has always placed his keenly discerning art in the service of a rousing good time. His soulful and stylish approach to music has earned him an impeccable reputation as one of music’s most enterprising and engaging artist.

Randy Corinthian has also garnered attention for his work outside his own performances. He has worked with many notable musicians Ellis Marsalis, Victor Goines, Bobby Watson, Jimmy Heath, Rodney Jordan, Leon Anderson Jr., Ron Isley, and Rick Watford. In addition to his experience with various symphonic and jazz bands, he has led several groups.

As musical director, Randy Corinthian has performed a wide variety of musical styles including, straight-ahead jazz, popular music, and many original compositions. He has also appeared as an artist on Tom Joyner’s Fantastic Voyage Cruise, performing with Coco Brown and The Phat Cat Players. Moreover, he has been featured as a guest solo artist with the Albany Symphony Orchestra where his performance highlighted the similarities and differences between the Jazz and Classical styles of saxophone playing, and his versatility.

As a Producer and Songwriter, his music has been featured on MTV, VH1 and BET Networks. His work ethic and dedication to excellence has led to relationships with several cable networks and publishing companies. Randy Corinthian original compositions have been featured in programming for MTV’s “Making The Band”, Rock Dinner, Jersey Shore, True Life, and Millionaire Matchmaker.

As a music producer and writer, Randy Corinthian has produced several original songs for Robert Townsend and The Black Family Channel. Many of his works can be heard in several shows including, “Spoken” hosted by Jessica Care Moore, Lisa Knight and The Round Table, and Straight Up. As an avid Musician, he still manages time for community service by honoring both, his civic and social responsibilities. He attributes his passion for service to the many community pioneers that have impacted his own life. He serves as a beacon of light in the community through his service rendered in church and education.

Randy Corinthian attends Gateway Church in Ft. Lauderdale, where he serves in the music ministry sharing his anointing with parishioners, and mentoring young musicians. In addition to lending his many talents, this Miami Jazz Saxophonist is a strong advocate for social action programs designed to provide relief services for those that are less fortunate. As an Educator, he teaches music where he focuses particular attention on students with socio-economic disadvantages, and provides them with inspiration, musical direction, and the life skills that they need to be successful throughout life.

As an Active Member of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Randy Corinthian serves on several committees within the organization. He has chaired committees on “Scholarship” and “Talent Hunt” and worked with a consortium of like-minded individuals whose aim is to supply scholarship awards to deserving students, and to provide a platform whereby talented youth can showcase their abilities and compete for cash prizes, scholarship opportunities, and a chance to perform on a national stage.

As a musician, producer, and songwriter, his repertoire solidifies him as a reputable source in the music industry, and sets the stage for the unveiling of his debut album release. Randy Corinthian soulful sounds are sure to be an inspiration to a diverse and sophisticated audience as he continues to excel to new heights!
