The female member of this Detroit Pop Duo is a singer, songwriter, and choreographer whose accolades outnumber her time in the music industry. A Michigan native born to Nigerian immigrants, her influences are an eclectic mix of several cultures. Equally at home working in pop, R&B, soul, hip hop, Nigerian, and rock music, her versatility as a performer and composer is unmatched amongst her peers. In her professional career she has sang live backgrounds for Eric Benet, choreographed and danced for Teddy Riley, and has opened as a solo act for many international artists including Jill Scott, 2face, Gyptian, Baby Charm, and Flavour. She recently completed a tour with Detroit jazz powerhouse De'Sean Jones, promoting his new album on Mack Avenue records. As a composer, she has written for artists including Day 26 and international electronic act The Brookes Brothers. The other member of this Detroit Pop Duo is a guitarist, educator, composer, producer, and DJ based in Detroit, Michigan, USA. Still early in his career and with 17+ years of guitar playing experience, he has recorded for and toured with a host of notable artists. His most recent work is as the touring guitarist for platinum-certified R&B artist Faith Evans. As a studio guitarist he can be heard on the latest albums "Graceland" and "LED" from Grammy-Nominated gospel artist Kierra Sheard. Internationally, he has been featured on Indian television station Sony Mix, playing guitar and bass in Bollywood classic covers. He holds extensive experience in the field of music education. In 2012 he received his Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Guitar from The Oberlin Conservatory of Music on a full-tuition scholarship. He also holds his one-year diploma from the Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music in Chennai. While at this institution he taught classes in music theory, jazz guitar, basic piano, ear training, music notation, and coached ensembles while studying Carnatic rhythms with the great Ghatam Karthick. He has performed with ensembles of many genres at venues all across India, the United States, and the Caribbean including this Detroit Pop Duo.
