After attending Long Island University and Adelphi University, she found herself working in the corporate world, which did not allow much time to sing, but she did perform every chance she got.

Her opportunity to pursue her dream came two years ago, when she was laid off from her job of more than ten years. A pharmaceutical error led to severe medical complications, which found her in the Intensive Care Unit, fighting for her life. At a cross roads in her life, she returned to her first love, singing.
