Chicago Jazz Band 4

This Chicago Jazz Band is a local group of seasoned musicians, most of whom have been playing for over 30 years. They are located in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin and have been performing as a group since 2012. They play jazz standards from the classic swing, be-bop and contemporary fusion traditions. Their repertoire is perfect for cocktail parties, receptions, special events or that special party in your home!

Several musicians make up this Chicago Jazz Band, so they offer a variety of configurations from duo to nonet. The 9 Piece Show Band incluces vocal, guitar, piano, bass, trumpet/flugel, trombone, sax, drums and more.

This Chicago Jazz Band can set a non-intrusive background groove (cocktail hour cool) or deliver more of an out-front performance (show time!), whatever works best for the venue. Their songbook includes jazz standards that are melodic and recognizable.

Chicago Jazz Band experience

Since 2015, this Chicago Jazz Band plays two or three times each month at a resort. The ensemble can change from week to week, as they draw on a range of musical friends to sit in with the core band.

The full band has played at Stevens Steakhouse in Gurnee, IL on four occasions in 2016 and 2017 and once at Austin’s Restaurant in Libertyville, IL. This Chicago Jazz Band can perform as a trio, quartet or quintet. They have played in and around Chicago since 2010.

Most of the members of this Chicago Jazz Band play in a variety of additional groups in their respective towns in northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. They love exploring different creative opportunities.
