Jersey City Irish Harpist 1

This Jersey City Irish Harpist is not only a harpist but also a singer. She studied in her native Ireland at the Sion Hill School with renowned Irish harpist Mairin Ni She (Ferriter) and received operatic voice training at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Upon coming to America, she studied at the College of St. Elizabeth where she completed her B.A. in Music with concert harpist Leone Paulson, a Julliard graduate and student of Carlos Salzedo.

Jersey City Irish Harpist awards

This Jersey City Irish Harpist was born in Dublin. She is a two-time winner of the O’Carolan International Harp and Voice Competition at Keadue, Ireland and a one time winner of the All Ireland Harp Competition at Granard, Ireland. Other awards include first place in both Gaelic singing and Harp instrumental at the Annual Irish Festival of New York, USA.

This Jersey City Irish Harpist has taught music at the Marylawn of the Oranges High School in New Jersey, and at the Montiverdi Summer Music Camp in Norwich University, Vermont. She is listed in the Who’s Who of American Teachers and currently teaches privately harp and piano.

Jersey City Irish Harpist credits

This Jersey City Irish Harpist has performed with the Paulson Harp Ensemble in Ireland, Vermont, Cape Cod and the New York tri-state area. Her many solo appearances include Jury’s Irish Cabaret, Killiney Castle Cabaret in Dublin, and at events honoring Irish Prime Ministers John Bruton and Bertie Ahern in New York, and the Governor of New Jersey Jim Florio. Especially dear to her was her opening performance for Frank Patterson’s last concert at Regis College, Boston, MA.

This Jersey City Irish Harpist performance entwines the familiar warmth, wealth and beauty of the traditional Irish folk harper along with the sophisticated elegance of a concert harpist.
