This Columbus Folk Group is a seven-man Sea Shanty Crew based in Columbus Ohio, who perform songs of the sea, lakes and rivers. They may look old, but it is the hard life sailing the raging main, drinking beer and chasing wicked women in every port that does it.
Since forming in 1988, this San Francisco Celtic Band has delivered a globally-renowned hybrid of high-energy folk rock fusing Irish reels, Scottish ballads, Norwegian influences and other world music elements. The last 22 years have seen the San Francisco Bay Area based act release twelve critically acclaimed CDs and play more than 2,000 gigs.
This artist was born in Santa Cruz and grew up in Sunnyvale, California (a great place to grow up). She went to UC Davis after high school to study engineering realizing quite soon that she had no real interest in engineering and her true love was music. She joined a Jazz/Swing/Ska band and fell in love with Ella Fitzgerald. Her new interest in jazz singing led her to Berklee College of Music where she got a degree in Professional Music.Supporting herself through college, she sang at many many restaurants, bars, clubs, weddings and cruise ships (evening tours around Boston Harbor). Eventually she moved to Paterson, New Jersey because of a great deal and its close proximity to New York.
This Dallas Folk Singer grew up a child of the 60s, immersed in the folk music of the times. Folk music has played a key role in American history, evoking communal action, carrying the stories from community to community and generation to generation, and providing the soundtrack for the great American awakening in the late 50s and 60s. This artist blends the traditional, enduring folk songs with up-to-date folk selections from across America, Canada, and around the world. His fresh approach keeps these traditions alive while delivering a contemporary, fun, upbeat show that is appropriate for all ages.

On twelve and six string guitars, he accompanies his baritone voice with intricate stylings not often heard in folk music.
