Dolce Strings

Dolce Strings is an unique music group which contains a violinist, cellist, pianist and vocalist. The combination of these instruments and the vocal gives a special ambience to any occasion and provides a warm, welcoming reception and uplifting vibe throughout the performance from start to end.

Anett Majercsik McCaul - Vocalist

Anett is a Hungarian Mezzo-Soprano who has been classically trained in Hungary and Ireland. She started studying music at a young age by Kodaly method. Anett began her vocal training at Richter Janos Conservatory in Hungary. She continued her studies in Budapest and become a member of a musical-operette group and of Dolce Strings. After she moved to Ireland she continued her study and took several exams at Royal Irish Music Academy. At present she is preparing for her Diploma with opera singer and vocal tutor Janyce Condon.

During her studies she was a member and soloist of several choirs. She took part in several performances and competitions as a choir member(Navan Choral Festival, RTE Mass, International North Wales Choral Festival) and as a solo artist(Fesi Ceoil Sligo) in Ireland and abroad.

Robert Campbell - Cellist

Rob studied Cello and Double Bass at the DIT Conservatory of Music, performing on both instruments with the DIT Symphony Orchestra during his time there. He was previously a member of the Dublin Symphony Orchestra and played with the Cork Concert Orchestra for their Lord Mayor’s Christmas Concert in 2015 and now he is a member of Dolce Strings. As a guitarist and electric bassist he has played in a number of bands around the country and abroad, with performances on Radio, Television and at major Irish Festivals. He continues to play cello with bands and teaches both cello and double bass in the Dublin area.

Tomàs Pujol Owens - Violinist

Tomas Commenced DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama BMusPerf Degree September 2015.
He started playing with youth orchestras at age 11. Since then he worked under several conductors such as Alan Duff, Bjarke Gundersen, Ole Faurschou, David O Doherty, David Brophy, Cillian Farrell, Damien Ioro as a leader of his violin section and leader of Orchestra in Ireland and abroad. Besides Dolce Strings, he has other experience with strings ensembles and quartets.
During his studies he won the DAA Young Musician of the Year Award (DAA/Swords) 2011 Bursary and the third Prize in National English Teachers Association Poetry Competition 2013.

Donal Hennessy - Pianist

Donal Hennessy, pianist, organist and keyboard player holds a first class honors Masters degree in performance from Maynooth University and has won many Feis Ceoil competitions. He has studied organ with Gerard Gillen and John O Keefe and piano with Anthony Byrne and Marie Jones. He is an experienced performer and works with musicians nationwide as well as with Dolce Strings.
