Wailuku Cajun Band 1

This Wailuku Cajun Band came together in June of 2004. The accordionist, who had fronted a popular zydeco band in Oregon before moving to the Big Island, met several Kona musicians who were captivated by the fresh rhythms and soulful energy of this much-loved Louisiana dance music. After a few months of joyful rehearsal, the band debuted with gigs at the Kona Elks Club, the Blue Dolphin and the Korner Pocket in October of 2004, and immediately began building the local following who look forward to doin' the zydeco at every opportunity.
